Players can look forward to the comeback of Gunfight and Plunder, as well as new features like the Barter System in DMZ. Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 is scheduled to be released on April 12th and 13th, 2023. The time when it will be available is based on where you live and what time zone you are in.

Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Details
Season 3 of Modern Warfare 2 brings exciting new content, including Gunfight, new maps, and Special Ops.
Gunfight returns with four maps, including the new Warzone 2.0 Gulag Blacksite and the fan-favorite Shipment. This intense 2v2 mode features small maps and random Loadouts, requiring strategic and fast-paced combat to win.
Three new 6v6 maps and two Battle Maps are being introduced. Pelayo’s Lighthouse is set on a rainy, rocky island, while Black Gold is the first nighttime map in Modern Warfare II, requiring night vision goggles and thermal optics. Rohan Oil and Sattiq Cave Complex are new Battle Maps, providing diverse combat environments.
Later in the season, prepare for the Defender: Hafid Port Special Ops mission and a new Raid Episode, where players must outlast waves of enemy reinforcements.
Gunfight OSP, a variant of Gunfight where players scavenge weapons and equipment from the map, will be available in regular Playlist updates.
New Multiplayer Ranked Play rewards are also coming in Season 3, including weapon blueprints, charms, vinyls, and camos for achieving different levels of Ranked Match wins. Special rewards await those who reach Gold Division or higher, with exclusive rewards for the Top 250 and No. 1 player in the world.
Warzone 2 Season 3 Details
Get ready for an exciting Season 3 of Warzone 2.0, featuring Resurgence Redux, new and returning features, and the expansion of Resurgence to Al Mazrah.
Throughout Season 3, Massive Resurgence will be highlighted in weekly Playlist updates. Players can expect intense action across the entire Al Mazrah map, with up to 150 players battling in various squad sizes like Quads or Trios.
Standard Battle Royale players can also anticipate a new 1v1 Gulag called Blacksite, a map with various interior spaces and long external routes. Blacksite offers opportunities for both long-distance and close-quarters engagements.
Season 3 will also introduce several new and returning features for all Warzone 2.0 modes, such as Redeploy Drones in Al Mazrah, allowing for quick travel across the map at the risk of being exposed to enemy fire.
Another addition to Warzone 2.0 is Perk Packs, which offer game-changing passive benefits to Operators. These packs can be found in Supply Boxes or purchased at Buy Stations.
Plunder 2.0 will make its return in Season 3, with a few changes to the in-match event system, new Buy Station items, and permanent rewards. Some of the events in Plunder 2.0 include Blood Money, Cannon Fodder, Contractor, and Choke Hold. New Buy Station additions include the Credit Card and Life Insurance.
Lastly, Plunder 2.0 offers nine unique rewards at launch for completing challenges, such as winning matches, eliminating AI Combatants or enemy Operators, or just playing the game. Rewards include a Vehicle Camo, Calling Cards, and more.
