My Time At Sandrock’s latest update, 1.1.3, dives deep to give players many more new features. These improvements to the game add to whether you’ve already got a romantic partner you are dating or are married. This is an update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so if you’re on PC, you’ll see things that you likely already have.

First and foremost, there is a wave of new romance quests for some characters. According to a Reddit post by the developer, these are the characters who will get quests:

  • Fang
  • Logan
  • Nia
  • Qi
  • Grace
  • Amirah
  • Owen
  • Ernest
  • Catori
  • Jane
  • Unsuur
  • Pablo
  • Venti
  • Burgess
  • Elsie

Post-wedding quests add a “delightful” layer of commitment and shared adventures for those already coupled up. One cool addition is the children feature that brings generations to the console owners. Players can birth or adopt up to 2 babies with their beloved NPC in town. This feature was available on PC, but now it’s made it to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

But romance isn’t the only star of the show. Update 1.1.3 brings a bounty of fresh content and quality-of-life improvements to elevate your Sandrock experience. To optimize the layout of your workshop, the developer has added a home placement feature. Greenhouse and Factory features have also been added to enhance workshop production. They added wardrobe functions to consoles to keep your wardrobe organized and display your outfits.

The quality-of-life improvements include expanded workshop sizes, longer throws, smoother jumping mechanics, and clearer map information. These are things you’d expect from updates, but the romance part really takes the cake. Adding quests and some events that happen after marriage is one thing, but the addition of children on consoles is really cool. You like to see it because it gives you a sense of progression in the game.
