Focus Entertainment and developer UN JE NE SAIS QUOI have revealed that their narrative adventure game, Dordogne, is set to launch on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on June 13.
Dordogne tells the story of Mimi, a 32-year-old woman who visits her recently deceased grandmother’s house. Her grandmother has left her letters and puzzles to solve as a reminder of the childhood summers Mimi spent with her in Dordogne and to encourage her to make the most out of life. Players will experience the colorful region and its wonderful sights and sensations as Mimi immerses herself in her childhood memories.
The game takes place in both the present and the past. In the present timeline, Mimi explores her grandmother’s house, while in the past, players help a 10-year-old Mimi explore Dordogne and complete quests that impact the present timeline. As Mimi solves puzzles in both timelines, players collect photos, sounds, objects, and words to create her journal, preserving young Mimi’s memories of her summers spent in Dordogne with her grandmother.
Key features of Dordogne include a wholesome family story that explores the close relationship between Mimi and her grandmother. Players can also experience the beautiful Dordogne region through young Mimi’s quests, adapted into watercolor environments that accurately represent this charming French area. Typical activities such as forest walks, climbing, kayaking, and cave explorations are incorporated into the game.

Players will need to be resourceful and patient while solving puzzles and mysteries left by Mimi’s grandmother, which are required for progression in the story. Additionally, players can craft Mimi’s unique journal during each playthrough by using the collected pictures, sounds, objects, and words. The journal symbolizes Mimi’s adventures and memories of Dordogne and the connection she shares with her grandmother.
