NBA 2K24 has released a new gameplay trailer teasing Mamba Moments, a feature that will allow players to relive classic performances from throughout Kobe Bryant’s iconic career. Today’s trailer lists a few of the featured moments, including a 2001 match against the Kings, the 2008 Western Conference finals against the Spurs, and more.

Fans are likely to enjoy this extra effort put into celebrating Kobe Bryant for NBA 2K24, a sensitive pursuit that needs to be respectful. Kobe Bryant ultimately transcended the realm of athletes, legitimately inspiring people outside of sports. Ideally, Bryant’s vision will come through tastefully. Today’s trailer does, at the very least, concentrate on the mindset throughout.
There are some really nice selections in today’s trailer, which are definitely nostalgic and important. Although there are some noticeable absences, which fans have been quick to point out, the full breadth of the content in Mamba Moments was likely not revealed in today’s trailer. Besides, the biggest highlights would probably be more fun to discover in-game rather than weeks before launch.
The developers recently teased the ProPLAY feature, which is meant to introduce more realism than ever by mimicking the action from real NBA games.
This is a fairly novel addition to the series, but expectations for authenticity are going to be higher than ever with Mamba Moments. Today’s trailer for the feature does showcase some very familiar movements from Bryant that are certain to give NBA fans a smile. He had a lot of personality, so it’ll be crucial to get it right.
