Ubisoft Montpellier is continuing to support Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown with free updates and a story-driven DLC. The studio shared its plans in a recent Tweet outlining a roadmap up to late 2024.
The first update, “Warrior’s Path,” will be released on March 20, 2024. This update is designed for players who want more challenges. It includes a Speedrun Mode for players who want to improve their skills and set new records and a Permadeath Mode that increases the risk in the classic Prince of Persia style. Fans of customization will also appreciate the addition of new outfits for the main character, Sargon.
Spring 2024 brings the “Boss Attack” update, aimed at battle fans. This free update introduces a Boss Rush mode where players can challenge the game’s tough enemies one after another, testing their combat skills. New seasonal outfits will also be available.
The third update, “Divine Trials,” is expected to be released in the summer of 2024. This expansion will introduce new combat, platforming, and puzzle challenges, aiming to provide players with various experiences. In addition, collectible amulets will be included, offering new ways to play and customize the game. Ubisoft has not disclosed further details, leading fans to wonder about this update’s trials and rewards.
In addition to the existing free content, a narrative-focused DLC is planned for late 2024. Ubisoft Montpellier has not yet disclosed details about this paid expansion, with only a mysterious question mark on the released roadmap. That’s all we know about what’s coming, but it seems Ubisoft wants this game to continue doing well. The content with a question mark will likely be paid DLC, and this is a way to increase anticipation for it.
