The Game Boy Advance is a positive memory for many kids and teens of the early 2000s. The device launched games like Pokémon and the early portable versions of Legend of Zelda. The Game Boy Advance is potentially getting a new emulator, according to a leak that’s being passed around on Twitter.

According to the leak, Nintendo’s official emulator has been in development and is set to release soon. Not only has the emulator been leaked, but a potential list of games has been shown alongside it. Some users have even taken to the replies of the tweets to show potentially leaked images.

New Game Boy Advance emulator on Switch

Game Boy Advance wouldn’t be the first emulator on the Nintendo Switch. The popular gaming company already offers NES and SNES games through Nintendo Switch Online and Nintendo 64 titles through the Expansion Pack. Nintendo will likely add this new mode to the Expansion Pack, which costs more per month than the regular membership.

Some of the games shown include the older Pokémon games, Pokémon Pinball, and Mario Bros. There’s no telling when it will release or if this is real, but seeing some classic games previewed is likely to build hype until there’s an official announcement.

More potential games leaked

According to another leaker, the list of games that have been tested on the Game Boy Advance emulator is extensive. However, that doesn’t mean that all these games will be released at launch, and fans may have to wait for some games to be worked on before they can be released.

According to the list, there are many games set to be released on the emulator at some point. Some parts are highlighted in yellow, which means there are ROM files, but they aren’t currently accessible in the leaked build. The games shown in the leaked screenshot include:

  • Astro Boy: Omega Factor
  • Car Battler Joe
  • Castlevania: Aira of Sorrow
  • Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
  • ChuChu Rocket!
  • Drill Dozer
  • Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
  • F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
  • Game & Watch Gallery 4
  • Golden Sun
  • Golden Sun: The Lost Age
  • Gunstar Super Heroes
  • Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town
  • Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
  • Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
  • Koro Koro Puzzle Happy Panechu!
  • Kuru Kuru Kururin
  • Lufia: The Ruins of Lore
  • Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
  • Mario Golf: Advance Tour
  • Mario Kart: Super Circuit
  • Mario Party Advance
  • Mario Tennis: Power Tour
  • Mario vs. Donkey Kong
  • Mega Man Battle Network 5 – Team ProtoMan
  • Mega Man Battle Network 2
  • Mega Man Zero 3
  • Metroid Fusion
  • Metroid: Zero Mission
  • Mr. Driller 2
  • Ninja Five-0
  • Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team
  • Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire
  • Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation
  • Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis
  • Wario Land 4
  • WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames!
  • Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

Many of these games meant a lot to kids and will be a welcome return if this is all true. While there’s no release date yet, the possibility of an official Game Boy Advance emulator is almost enough for now.
