Following the world-hopping release of the original, many players are getting excited ahead of the release of Remnant 2, with developer Gunfire Games sharing trailers of the classes. The latest to get a reveal is the Hunter class which relies on players being able to take advantage of windows of opportunity to deal devastating damage with precision.
Every hit will matter with Hunter’s abilities, which is why they are crafted around increasing your critical hits so that each hit does as much damage as possible with the Prime perk. The class also has a marking ability that allows players to see enemies through walls so you’re never surprised about what’s coming to you. Not only does this apply to the Hunter player, but their teammates in the other Remnant 2 classes can see the enemies as well.
The Hunter also has the ability to hide in the shadows from enemies, allowing them to get out of danger and flank unsuspecting enemies. It could also be a useful tool for getting away from a sticky situation when you’re team is counting on you. Once they attack after going into cover, they’ll get a bonus for both melee and ranged damage.
If the player doesn’t shoot after a short period of time, they’ll automatically re-enter the invisibility effect, allowing them to hide for a little longer.
There’s also a special Trait that can be upgraded called Longshot that will increase how far away your weapons can be effective. This puts the player at an incredible advantage if they are able to get hits from afar. Players will be able to check it out for themselves when the game is released on July 25, 2023.
