In Steelrising, players will be taken to Paris in 1789, where Louis XVI managed to put a halt to the revolution by making use of a merciless mechanical army. They will then take on the role of the automaton Aegis, as she becomes the only glimmer of hope capable of facing the army and save The City of Light from the King’s reign of terror.

According to the game’s developers, and as we said above, Steelrising will be an action RPG where players will have the ability to customize their playstyle to their liking by making use of a wide array of weapons and gear. Aegis will also be able to travel through both the streets and rooftops of the city by making use of not only her automatic pieces but also by making use of a lot of different tools.

Thanks to the game’s similar aesthetic, gameplay, setting, and design, Steelrising is considered by many soulslike and soulsborne fans, together with Neowiz’s upcoming Lies of P, as one of the many sons of FromSoftware’s Bloodborne, which was released in March 2015 exclusively for the PS4.
