Excitement is building among Pokémon fans as rumors of an upcoming Pokémon Presents livestream have surfaced. According to a recent Twitter post by dataminer Lorris (EternalStay), the presentation is allegedly scheduled for August 8th. The report has quickly caught the attention of eager fans, who are hoping for more details to be revealed about the highly anticipated “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as well as the previously announced sequel to Detective Pikachu, titled “Detective Pikachu Returns.”
The information regarding the upcoming Pokémon Presents event came to light when sharp-eyed individuals delved into the latest update for Pokémon Masters EX, version 2.35. Within the code, references were found to a campaign named “Pokémon Presents” with a start date represented by the UNIX timestamp 1691499600, which translates to August 8, 2023.
Fueling the speculation fire, comparisons with previous events indicate a pattern in the scheduling of Pokémon Presents. The most recent Pokémon Presents took place during this year’s Pokémon Day, February 27, 2023, which was about six months prior to the rumored date of the next Pokémon Presents. Interestingly, a similar interval occurred between the two Pokemon Presents events in 2021 and 2022, hinting at the possibility of a consistent timeline this year. However, neither Nintendo nor The Pokémon Company has officially confirmed this speculation, leaving fans eagerly awaiting an official announcement.
With the alleged date drawing near, it is expected that Nintendo and The Pokémon Company will soon make an official statement if the event is indeed scheduled. Until then, fans can only remain patient and wait for the rumor to be confirmed through Nintendo and The Pokémon Company‘s social channels.
