The official Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has tweeted that the sequel, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, will be delayed slightly. The new release dates are pretty close now, but the reasoning was that they needed to add some finishing touches. This isn’t cause for too much alarm, because the delay is small.

According to the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Twitter, the digital version of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 will be released a month earlier than physical copies. The digital is scheduled for November 7, 2023, and the physical is December 1, 2023. The Tweet also included a special bonus for players, Patrick’s Elastic Waistband costume from the Spongebob episode when the group put on costumes with powers.

Patrick’s Elastic Waistband costume will be available during the first week of launch, November 7 to November 14. This leaves physical disc owners at a disadvantage since their release week won’t be for another month.

What is strange is that it sounds like the Nintendo Switch will not receive a physical release. When asked if Nintendo Switch physical versions will be download-only or have the full game on the card, the Twitter account responded that it will be a code in the box. That is another way of saying it’s download-only. That means you will get the box, open it, and get a code to put into the Nintendo eShop to download the game.

It’s cheaper not to send a physical cartridge or card, but when you waited to buy a physical version, you didn’t just come for the box.

This fanbase has to be the most patient one I’ve seen because normally companies would get flamed for that. Instead, it seems like the fanbase is perfectly fine waiting, and most of the questions are around when you can pre-order the Ultimate edition. Only one person complained about the wait, the others were fine with it. The audience for this game is a patient one, which may be due to its not being considered a competitive fighting game, just a fun one.
