Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, a fighting platformer sequel from developers Ludosity and Fair Play Labs, has just been announced with a gameplay trailer today. It will be published by GameMill Entertainment, and is coming to PC via Steam, as well as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 has not confirmed a release date, but a new tweet from the original game’s feed hints it will arrive sometime in Fall 2023. The tweet also reveals key features, confirming a new campaign, new modes, crossplay, a bigger roster and more.

Pre-orders for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 go live on July 28th, 2023. You can watch today’s exclusive announcement trailer on the IGN YouTube channel:

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has been met with a lot of mixed reviews that consider it just fine. The budget wasn’t quite there, so the graphics were inferior to its many competitors, and there simply wasn’t enough content.

For example, the roster was relatively small, and despite a lot of obvious selections, it did stumble now and then. Fans will be relieved that Jimmy Neutron is entering the fray. It was always bizarre that Hugh was the playable character instead, and Jimmy makes a big entrance in today’s trailer. It would’ve been nice to see more of Jimmy’s moveset in the new footage.

Squidward’s introduction will likely give you a grin, and it might be a clever way to address some of the fan disappointment, too. This was the right way to kick off the trailer, hinting that players will really get what they wanted this time around.

Today’s trailer showcases significantly better graphics. It’s clear this sequel had more support, and it should be ambitious enough to deliver a truly competitive title in the genre. Hopefully, the new campaign and modes will be explained in subsequent trailers.
