In a new post, Nintendo has just revealed that in addition to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Nintendo Switch bundle announced earlier today, there will also be Nintendo Switch Lite bundles with an Animal Crossing: New Horizons theme, joining the launch on October 6th, 2023.
Like the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle, these Nintendo Switch Lite bundles will include a digital copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons instead of a physical copy.
There will be two different versions, including Isabelle’s Aloha Edition bundle as a Target exclusive, and Timmy & Tommy’s Aloha Edition bundle exclusively available at Walmart. But they’ll both feature leaf designs, as seen in these pictures from today’s official announcement post:

Animal Crossing: New Horizons first launched in 2020, but it became an absolute juggernaut, and has continued to renew interest since release. It’s an adorable small-town sim with memorable characters and wholesome activities, both legitimately entertaining and highly representative of the brand. This makes it an ideal follow-up to the Mario Kart 8 bundle.
The friendly art design in the Animal Crossing series plays a large role in its appeal, so it’s nice to see that reflected in the Nintendo Switch Lite bundles.
The colors are warm and cozy, and the console design smartly keeps all of the visual noise on the back, with just a small leaf accent on the front. This way, they can still feel like collectibles without becoming too distracting. And anytime you’re playing the game, you are likely showing off those spectacular leaves, perhaps most recognized from the New Leaf cover art.
It’s important to note that today’s announcement did not mention the addition of a 3-month individual membership for Nintendo Switch Online. This was confirmed for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle, which may result in some confusion.
