Fans of classic games of the past can rejoice as Nintendo Switch Online is adding a few well-known titles from the SNES and NES era of games to their growing collection! This time they’ll be bringing Earthworm Jim 2 from the SNES, as well as Dig Dug 2 and Mappy-Land from the NES. If you’re a subscriber to the service, you should now have access to all three of these games!

Earthworm Jim 2

Wriggle your way back into your super suit and take on the role of Jim, the annelid with attitude, in this wacky platformer launched for the Super NES console in 1995. The story takes up right after Jim’s successful rescue of Princess What’s-Her-Name and his subsequent failed attempts to woo her. Just as it appeared like the princess would alter her mind, the evil Psy-Crow swooped in and snatched her, intent on claiming the throne for himself. Now it’s up to Jim to put an end to their wedding by tracking them from planet to world. This time, however, he’ll be accompanied by his pal Snott. Catch Psy-Crow and save the girl of Jim’s dreams by jumping, shooting, swinging, and sliming your way through ten distinct levels.

Dig Dug 2

Dig Dug has planned a vacation on a deserted island, but the Pooka and Fygar will not let him to relax! Clear out the opponents by inflating them until they burst or digging traps for them to fall into during each round. But don’t approach too near to their strikes or you’ll tumble into your own traps!

Mappy-Land

Mappy the police mouse has prepared Mapico and Mappy Jr. with a variety of delightful gifts. Nyamco, the feline world’s big cheese, has instructed his clowder “Meowkies” to hide the presents all around Mappyland. Mappy will have to double-time it on finding the gifts if he wants to send them to their respective recipients on time! To get rid of those sneaky cats on your way, avoid traps and activate them. To distract them, you can use special items located around the game. To advance to the next stage, collect six of the same presents. Will Mappy be able to make it through all eight villages while avoiding the claws?
