Nintendo has announced that three Super Mario Advance titles will be added to the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online service on May 25. The upcoming releases include Super Mario Advance, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, and Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3, enhancing the platform’s gaming diversity.
The first of the forthcoming releases, Super Mario Advance, is an upgraded version of the Nintendo Entertainment System Super Mario Bros 2 game. It offers players the chance to fight enemies with a variety of characters, each possessing unique abilities. Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad take on the adventure in Subcon, the land of dreams, with the Game Boy Advance version of Super Mario Bros. 2 featuring added challenges and surprises, including a Yoshi-centric component.
Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, the second addition, sees Mario and Luigi trying to reclaim Dinosaur Island from Bowser. This version retains all levels, secrets, and Power Ups from the Super Nintendo Entertainment System Super Mario World, while also introducing new elements and surprises. One of the notable features of this Game Boy Advance classic is the option to play the entire adventure as Luigi, equipped with his Super Mario Advance abilities.
The third title, Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3, marks the return of Yoshi in a rendition of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System classic that first introduced Baby Mario. Players guide a group of multicolored Yoshi to save Baby Mario and his brothers from the evil Magikoopa Kamek. With vibrant worlds, colossal bosses, and an abundance of secrets and enemies, this egg-tossing adventure offers a rich gaming experience.
These additions to the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online service form part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, thus reinforcing the platform’s commitment to offering an extensive library of classic games for its subscribers.
