When Palia was announced two years ago, it was seen as an MMORPG version of Animal Crossing, allowing players from around the world to join together in a cozy action-adventure world. Now, following multiple Alpha tests in recent months, Palia developer Singularity 6 has announced the game will be going into closed beta starting on Aug. 2, 2023.

In recent months, the developer has hosted multiple Alpha tests for Palia over weekends, making sure to keep any details under wraps. However, in a new trailer released earlier today, Palia confirmed that it was going to release an open beta that players in just a few weeks. Players who want the opportunity to sign up for an invite can create an account on the Palia website.

In the beta trailer, players can get a better look at the world they’ll roam with their animal friends, creating memories as they engage with this brand-new world. A large city, bulletin board, and crafting stations can be seen during the trailer. Players can also watch as a house grows and see how they will be able to evolve their homes over time.

There’s still a lot unknown about the gameplay in Palia, with more likely being revealed in the beta and beyond.

With the Palia Closed Beta starting at the beginning of next month, players should expect beta invites to come in the next couple of weeks. In order to play the beta, those who receive access will need to download the game from the website. You won’t actually be able to log into the game until the beta goes live, however.
