PlayStation has officially revealed the lineup of April’s monthly games, including Meet Your Maker, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and Tails of Iron. Each of these titles will be playable next week on April 4th, 2023. As usual, they will only be available until May 1st. Here is the full announcement from PlayStation’s official Twitter feed:
Meet Your Maker
Meet Your Maker, a building and raiding strategy game from developer and publisher Behaviour Interactive, launches into PS Plus on day one. It has a clever premise that blends fast-paced action with thoughtful construction, challenging players to both outwit and outgun each other.
Meet Your Maker also has a delightfully grimy art design that feels apocalyptic and industrial without feeling remotely dull. Raiding is a common online trope that is often reduced to brute force, which isn’t encouraging for new players. Meet Your Maker has the opportunity to broaden both of its genres and make them more accessible.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure
This hit 3D platformer from developer Sumo Digital is an adventure with one of the most adorable art styles in the genre. It has a youthful, colorful, and handmade spark that lands somewhere between Yoshi’s Crafted World and Yarn.
It also has a surprising amount of content. There have been frequent cosmetic updates since it launched last year, including everything from dinosaur outfits to the latest Matte Paint Black update:
Tails of Iron
This remarkable, hand-drawn RPG feels like the dark side of Redwall, with the maturity of Watership Down and its own fascinating lore. Although Tails of Iron is a little older, its unexpected tone, layered environments, and genuinely interesting characters will make this a prized addition to PlayStation Plus. It also adds more variety to the month, so that players aren’t limited to the most recent titles.
