The May 2023 lineup for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers has been revealed by Sony, featuring Chivalry 2, Descenders, and GRID Legends. These games will be accessible from May 2 through June 6.
Chivalry II, available on both PS5 and PS4, offers an immersive medieval battlefield experience in a multiplayer first-person slasher format. Drawing inspiration from epic medieval movie battles, players engage in large-scale conflicts across a variety of environments, from tournament grounds to full-scale castle sieges. The game offers four classes and 12 subclasses, each with unique weapons and abilities, allowing players to customize their playstyle. The PlayStation 5 version boasts 4K resolution and 60 frames per second for a breathtaking visual experience.
Descenders, another title available on both PS5 and PS4, is an adrenaline-pumping downhill biking game with a deep physics system that allows for precise control over the rider’s movements. The game offers an ever-changing experience through procedurally generated levels, where players can navigate diverse jumps, slopes, and hillbombs. Players can also earn special mutators, new bikes, and threads as they build their online reputation.
The third title, GRID Legends, also playable on both PS5 and PS4, delivers an immersive and high-stakes racing experience. The game blends thrilling motorsport with a captivating narrative featuring a world-class cast, including Ncuti Gatwa in an innovative extended reality production. Players will encounter intense racing action, paddock politics, on-track drama, and the notorious Ravenwest Motorsport team, all captured in a fly-on-the-wall documentary style.
The previous month’s lineup featured Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Doom Eternal, and Riders Republic. With the May 2023 lineup, PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers can look forward to even more diverse and engaging gaming experiences.
