Pokémon Unite, the popular free to play MOBA from TiMi Studio Group and The Pokémon Company, has confirmed that Umbreon will join the game on May 25th, 2023, and Leafeon will be available on June 7th, 2023. A new official blog adds that Inteleon should also be expected later on, but a release date hasn’t been confirmed.

Pokémon Unite is available now on mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch. According to today’s tweet from the Pokémon Unite feed, Umbreon should be a defender, while Leafeon will be a speedster:

This news follows the Eevee Festival announcement from earlier today. The festival is going to feature special Eevee Appeal-o-rama battles, a new kind of Quick Battle beginning May 25th, 2023. All players will strictly use Eevee evolutions, alongside wild Eevee and Gigantamax Eevee.

Eevee is arguably one of the cutest Pokémon in the franchise, and because Eevee consistently represents all of the newest Types, it’s always a delight to see how Eevee will be affected by each addition. Likewise, it’s great to see what role those evolutions will play in Pokémon Unite, though some of them seem more obvious than others.

Fans have been patiently waiting for all of the Eeveelutions to show up, namely those from the Gen 1 games. However, Pokémon Unite hasn’t even been able to catch up with all of the new Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet, so the likes of Jolteon are probably still far off.

The new Eevee Festival clearly resembles Pika Party, which is also returning on June 22nd, 2023, at 5 PM pacific time. But Eevee’s wide variety of evolutions are definitely going to add better replay value to the Quick Battles.
