Project Slayers 1.5 Update Details
We’ve gathered up some of the information about what will be included in the the 1.5 update. Keep in mind that this isn’t everything, and there will likely be a lot more. Among the most significant changes is the revamp of Ouwigahara, the hub infinite dungeon. With the launch of the update, the dungeon’s previous issues should be fixed.
The new update replaces the gates and changing rooms in the Ouwigahara dungeon with a random room allocated based on a seed that players will inhabit until their character’s demise. The dungeon now includes a skill ultimate (ult) bar in normal mode, requiring 25 kills to fill, down from the previous 50.
The 1.5 update introduces a time limit to the dungeon, starting at five minutes and extending by 1.5 seconds per kill for casual mode and 1.25 seconds per kill in competitive mode. Points will be awarded for each non-player character (NPC) killed, with five points earned per NPC. Passive points will accumulate every minute based on a formula of 15 multiplied by the number of minutes the player has survived.
Instead of waves, NPCs will spawn continuously in the dungeon, with spawn rates increasing the longer the player stays alive. Bosses will appear every minute, with the number of bosses proportional to the player’s survival time. Events, lasting for a whole minute, also have the chance to occur every minute.
Competitive mode is undergoing changes as well. The competitive season will now occur weekly instead of bi-weekly, with rewards available for the top 12 players. The items on offer will rotate among the five champion items and players can win the same item multiple times in different seasons, resulting in duplicate champion katanas that can be used for trading.
In response to popular demand, the 1.5 update will also allow players to wear any equipment as cosmetics while benefiting from the stats of other equipment pieces. Only one piece of equipment per category can contribute to the player’s stats.
Two new features, the Ice Blood Demon Art and Sound Breathing, will be introduced to the game in the update. Additionally, Uzui, a Supreme Clan, will be added. Uzui will boast a set of perks including increased strength, stamina, and health, faster breathing bar regeneration, pain resistance, additional evade points, and double jump. The Clan will also have indominate will immunity, the ability to convert poison damage to healing, spatial awareness, and a speed boost.
