Even though there are many articles detailing how Redfall has fallen to single-digit player count, Bethesda has yet to give up on the game. We’re unsure if the main team at Bethesda came in to modify it, or if the developers have been working on it since release but this is a huge update.

There are over 50 new changes to Redfall, each detailed in a new update post from Bethesda. When Starfield released, Bethesda mentioned that they would work on Redfall because they weren’t satisfied with the launch. That kind of thing is normally just thrown around but they were completely serious.

In this update, several significant improvements and fixes have been made to enhance the gaming experience. Performance Mode has been enabled for Xbox Series X|S, and PC performance and stability have been boosted across a range of hardware setups. Memory crashes and graphical corruption issues with AMD GPUs have been addressed, alongside a fix for Game Settings resetting in Windowed mode on a second monitor.

That’s not all, they want to raise that three concurrent player count asap. The anti-aliasing setting is now better integrated with AMD FSR 2.1 upscaling. Additionally, there are performance enhancements for Hero abilities, weapons, and general game systems, along with various fixes to ensure Hero abilities trigger correctly regardless of environmental factors. Player navigation and collision have been improved in Redfall Commons and Burial Point.

The user interface now reflects the silent state of silenced weapons, and there are several quality-of-life improvements to UI elements, compass markers, and more. Accessibility features have been enhanced, and gameplay improvements include changes to aim-assist settings. Various combat-related adjustments, environment improvements, and multiplayer enhancements have also been introduced.

It’s a crazy huge update, and it may be worth playing the game again. The verdict will depend on what everyone says, since this isn’t the first game that has been saved by consistent updates.
