A well-regarded leaker claims to know the release windows for a handful of persona games, one being the sixth game in the series. The leaker, @MbKKssTBhz5 on X (formally known as Twitter), responded to a tweet asking if the reveal for Persona 6 would be this year. The leaker said that the reveal time would be decided but Persona 6 would be released in 2025.
The leaker, incredibly confidently, stated the year each game would be released. This raises some doubts about the leaker’s credibility, because what employee knows multiple game releases? Anyone who is privy to that knowledge is too high up to want it leaked. So definitely take this leak with a grain of salt.
Metaphor and Asa will release in 2024.
@MbKKssTBhz5
P5X will release next year, and there will be tests in other regions too.
There is an SMT title being worked on.
P6 will be released in 2025. The reveal time is still being decided.
According to this leaker, there will be three Atlus titles slated released in 2024. That seems incredibly unlikely. Studios tend to want a lot of space in between game releases because if their games have to compete then one of them will lose. I can see two games being released in 2024, but not three.
Then you have Persona 6 release date in 2025 which makes some sense. Persona 5 was released in 2016, so it’s been a long time to wait for a direct sequel. We’re only inclined to believe the leaker to some extent because they’re well known to be on the heartbeat of Atlus. However, I do not think that this will stay the case if it’s true.
If anything, this sounds like planned release dates within the studio and then marketing will make sure to adjust them to ensure that they do well. We’ll see as time goes on, but we recommend keeping an eye on Atlus’ Twitter account for more information.
