In a thrilling development for Pokémon trainers worldwide, the creators of Pokémon GO have announced an upcoming update to the game’s Style Shop. This in-game shop, where avatar items are purchased, is set for a significant overhaul intended to enhance the user experience.
The update aims to streamline avatar item management, allowing trainers to navigate their collections with greater ease. Whether trainers are browsing their collection of tops, bottoms, socks, or footwear, or in the market for new avatar items, the updated Style Shop is designed for seamless navigation.
Newly added items in the Style Shop will bear a mark, assisting trainers in identifying the latest styles and making it simpler to revamp their avatars’ looks. The creators hope that these features will simplify avatar item management and look forward to seeing the innovative outfits and costumes that trainers will assemble.
One of the key features of the update is the introduction of the ‘closet’. This exciting addition allows trainers to save their favourite outfits for easy access. Once an outfit is saved in the closet, trainers can effortlessly switch between looks, adding a new dimension of convenience to the game.
The Style Shop update also brings with it a handful of other improvements. One such change is a shift from the horizontal navigation bar to a new vertical bar placed to the left of the avatar. This feature will let trainers navigate between item categories more fluidly and provide a full-screen view of the items within each category. Additionally, trainers will now have the ability to browse subcategories under the accessories category, including items such as masks, glasses, and gloves.
To mark the launch of the Style Shop update, a special sale on select avatar items will be held. Discounted items include Team Leader Happi Coats, Pikachu Onesies, and Kanto first-partner hoodies. The sale will begin on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. PDT, and conclude on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. PDT.
