The RICOCHET Anti-Cheat team has added new layers of security and detection measures for Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0, focusing on combating unfair play in Ranked Play for both games. These updates target players using controllers with Cronus software and those engaging in account boosting, ensuring a level playing field across all modes.

RICOCHET Anti-Cheat enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy on cheating in all game modes, including Ranked Play. Cheating accounts may be permanently banned across Call of Duty titles, with their records removed from the Ranked Play Top 250 and other competitive leaderboards. Furthermore, players who frequently benefit from banned cheating accounts may have their Skill Rating (SR) adjusted, even if they have not used cheats themselves.

A new Replay investigation tool has been deployed, enabling RICOCHET Anti-Cheat and the development studios to review completed match data and identify cheating behavior across all multiplayer modes, including Ranked Play. This tool has already resulted in permanent bans for accounts exhibiting suspicious behavior.

To further combat cheating, RICOCHET Anti-Cheat has developed and tested a detection system for third-party hardware devices, such as Cronus, which can alter the gameplay experience by reducing or eliminating recoil. This detection has been implemented globally on all platforms.

Players found using these third-party devices will initially receive a warning, with continued improper use potentially leading to account suspensions or bans across Call of Duty titles, as outlined in the Security and Enforcement Policy.

In addition to addressing Cronus software controller users, RICOCHET Anti-Cheat is also cracking down on account boosting, game glitching or exploiting, and player griefing. These behaviors violate the Call of Duty Security and Enforcement Policy and Code of Conduct. Players engaging in these activities will receive in-game warnings detailing their offenses.

The RICOCHET Anti-Cheat team encourages players to report any instances of cheating, account boosting, or other unfair practices using the in-game tools. They remain committed to monitoring the effectiveness of these new measures and updating their systems to maintain a fair gaming environment for all players.
