How to Find the Whirlpool in Fisch

The strange whirlpools in Fisch are temporary events that appear in open water, transporting players to the hidden area known as Vertigo – The Great Abyss. While sailing the open waters of Fisch, be vigilant for shimmering, vertical white aura lines. These visually striking lines indicate the presence of a strange whirlpool. These are not subtle and can often be spotted from a distance.

However, their limited 15-minute duration means you need to act quickly when you see one. Upon spotting a whirlpool, steer your boat towards it. You’ll need to exit your boat and swim into the swirling vortex to be transported to Vertigo.

Entering the strange whirlpool will trigger a brief transition, after which you’ll find yourself in Vertigo – The Great Abyss. This area is a dimly lit cave, and the presence of strange, glowing green crystals is used as a light source.

How to Get Out from The Whirlpool in Fisch – [Vertigo The Great Abyss]

Escaping Vertigo isn’t as simple as swimming back through the whirlpool. Instead, you’ll need to locate an item called the Conception Conch.

How to Get a Conception Conch

To get a Conception Conch, you must locate a merchant called Synth, who should have appeared as a name tag on your HUD. So, just head towards that name tag.

Once you find Synth, the Conception Conch to the right of Synth in front of a wooden beam, priced at 444C$. Ensure you have enough currency before venturing into Vertigo, or you’ll be stranded. It’s a good idea to purchase multiple Conches in one go so you have them readily available for future Vertigo expeditions.

Using the Conception Conch

The Conception Conch is a single-use, consumable item. When used, it instantly teleports you to your designated Resting Spot. The default Resting Spot is Moosewood, but you can change it by speaking with any of the Innkeeper NPCs found in various locations throughout Fisch. While you can stack multiple Conches in your inventory, they cannot be sold to other players or back to Synth. So, stock up as needed. The Conch is the only known method for exiting Vertigo, so don’t leave home without it!
