Tearmoon Empire is a romantic comedy and fantasy light novel series by Nozomu Mochitsuki and Mizu Morino. A recent announcement revealed that the hit series will receive a TV animation adaption airing in 2023.
The official announcement trailer for Tearmoon Empire showcases the main character, Mia, and a general storyline overview.
Tearmoon Empire follows the story of Mia Luna Tearmoon, a Princess who was spoiled, selfish, and rotten. However, one thing led to another, and she ended up spending years in prison, where she was eventually executed.
One day, however, twelve-year-old Mia wakes up with memories of her past life, the feel of the guillotine, and an old diary that contains information about her time in the dungeon.
To avoid her horrific ending, she decides to become a well-rounded, saintly princess. She will help fix society’s problems and share with others, even if she doesn’t want to. Mia knows she’s just doing this to save her skin. In her eyes, a good deed is still a good deed. So, she sets down a path to change her future, one good choice at a time.
While there isn’t a great deal of information available regarding the anime, the staff and leading character voice actor have been announced and include:
- Director: Yuji Ibe
- Series Configuration: Deko Akao, known for their work on High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World and Komi CaCan’tommunicate.
- Character Design: Mai Otsuka, known for their work on Non Non Biyori Nonstop and The Demon Girl Next Door.
- Music: Koji Fujimoto, known for their work on B: The Beginning and The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious.
- Animation Studio: SILVER LINK., known for their titles, BOFURI: I Don’t want to Get Hurt, so I’I’llax Out My Defense and My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!
- Sumire Uesaka will voice the main character Mia Luna Tiermoom. Sumire is known for her roles as Hayase Nagatoro in Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro, Shalltear Bloodfallen in Overlord and Sanae Dekomori in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!
