Developer and publisher Soda Den has announced an exciting development to its Stone Age co-op farming and life simulation game, Roots of Pacha. Originally released for PC via Steam, Roots of Pacha is set to make its way to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on November 28th, with an Xbox Series X|S release scheduled for early 2024.
In Roots of Pacha, players will embark on a journey of discovery, developing tools and ideas that will shape the primitive world. These include preserving food, metalworking, crafting beautiful pottery and art, and creating new buildings to expand their Stone Age village. As they progress, players can expand their village by inviting members of other clans to join them.
Roots of Pacha follows the familiar mechanics of farming simulation games, with players exploring, gathering, and farming vegetables and herbs, but with a Stone Age twist. Players will venture into the wilderness to befriend and domesticate animals, catch fish in both shallow and deep waters to uncover mysteries, and mine caves filled with secrets and ancient powers.
The game also emphasizes the development of relationships within the tight-knit village. Players can forge friendships and even romantic connections as they participate in primitive festivals and rituals dedicated to Pacha, the embodiment of Mother Nature and her elements.
The console launch of Roots of Pacha will include version 1.1, which introduces numerous updates and additions to the base game. This version grants players the ability to replenish their stamina by sitting. It also includes the introduction of a new romanceable character, and NPCs showing their appreciation with gifts as players build friendships. These gifts range from new dishes to hats, accessories, and more. Version 1.1 also brings the opportunity for players to get their own meat, cultivate herbs and mushrooms, and experience new NPC cutscenes, among other exciting features.
With Roots of Pacha‘s expansion to other platforms, the game will support cross-play, enabling players to connect and play with friends regardless of the platform they choose.
