Developers of the farming simulation game, Roots of Pacha, have expressed their delight at the response of the gaming community and have given a glimpse into what players can expect in future updates. These details come after a recent dispute with their publisher Crytivo, which has thankfully been resolved.
The developers are planning to introduce a series of improvements and expansions to the game, designed to further enhance gameplay and sustain player engagement. Their plan entails two major updates, with a small quality-of-life patch preceding each.
The first of the smaller updates, which is expected to be released in the following weeks, will concentrate on enhancing the game’s user experience. It will include general quality-of-life features, localization fixes, and address some player feedback.
A larger update to follow this will expand on current game systems, introducing features such as advancing children to the ‘kid stage,’ evolving plant and animal species, and extending end-game content. Additional features set to debut include new Union locations, further options for romantic relations, expanded pet interactions, and the ability to dissolve Unions. Responding to community suggestions, developers also plan to add smaller details such as allowing players to sit in various places around the game world.
While the developers of Roots of Pacha are eager to enhance the game, they are equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of updates. Consequently, they will only commit to general timeframes for these updates to avoid rushing and to ensure thorough testing.
The developers intend to coincide the release of this significant update with the game’s debut on console platforms. This synchronization is possible as both processes are progressing simultaneously and are expected to be completed later this year.
The second large update, scheduled for release next year, will elevate the game to a whole new level. The update will allow kids in the game to grow into teenagers, and will also introduce the ‘ball sport’ from the Kickstarter stretch goals. It will primarily focus on enabling visits to the Mograni and Yakuan settlements. Players will have the opportunity to explore the Tundra and Turtle Islands, discover new fauna and flora, interact with new characters, some of whom will be romanceable, and explore new caves.
