What is a Rust Wipe?

In Rust, a wipe acts as a 90 % reset of the game. During these server wipes, everything from structures to collected items is erased, except for blueprints. These blueprints are crucial for crafting various items and offer a sense of ongoing progress, even after the server has been wiped clean.

Over time, as a server matures, seasoned players become more powerful, creating a challenging scenario for newcomers. Imagine new players with minimal gear trying to survive against experienced players who have amassed advanced weaponry and fortified bases. To address this growing disparity, Rust regularly resets its servers, ensuring a balanced playfield for all.
