Fans of rhythm games are set to receive a treat on August 29 with the launch of Samba de Amigo: Party Central on the Nintendo Switch. SEGA confirmed the release date, also revealing the game’s pricing at $39.99. Prospective players can secure their copy ahead of time, with pre-orders now available on the Nintendo eShop.

For those seeking an enhanced experience, SEGA is also offering a Digital Deluxe Edition priced at $49.99. This special edition includes not only the standard game but also a number of additional downloadable content and costumes.

The bonus content comprises two music packs: the “Sonic Music Pack” and the “SEGA Music Pack”. The former features fan-favorite tracks from the Sonic franchise, including “Open Your Heart” from Sonic Adventure, “Reach For The Stars (Re-Colors)” from Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and “I’m Here” from Sonic Frontiers. The latter, on the other hand, draws from SEGA’s rich musical history, bringing the party to life with popular tracks like “Bakamitai (Taxi Driver Edition)”, “Go Go Cheer Girl!” from Space Channel 5: Part 2, and “Rhythm Thief Theme” from Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure.

Complementing the music are special costumes inspired by iconic SEGA characters and games such as Sonic and Tails from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, Space Channel 5, Super Monkey Ball, and Puyo Puyo.

Samba de Amigo: Party Central, as outlined by SEGA, offers players the opportunity to partake in an international rhythm-based party with the lovable Amigo and his friends. Center stage in this lively game, players can pick up their virtual maracas and dance to the beat of 40 hit songs spanning various popular music genres. Moreover, post-launch DLC promises even more songs to keep the party going.

Beyond the solo experience, the game also features multiple party modes for players to groove with friends and family. As players gain confidence in their rhythm skills, they can tackle the StreamiGo! challenges to boost Amigo’s fame. In addition, they can show off their style by customizing their character with unique costumes and accessories.

For those seeking a more extensive social experience, the World Party Mode allows up to eight friends to join 12 Amigos in an international dance-off. Furthermore, competitive players can showcase their prowess on the online leaderboards, turning the game into a global rhythm showdown. With its rich features and vibrant atmosphere, Samba de Amigo: Party Central is poised to bring a unique blend of fun and rhythm to the Nintendo Switch.
