The holiday season is coming to Sea of Thieves, with many events occurring throughout December. Players can gain access to discounted store items like weapons, emotes, and pets, Twitch Drops, and an in-game grog-based Challenge event.

Sea of Thieves Holiday Events
Grand Festival of Giving
Sea of Thieves will host a live event at 6:15 pm UTC on December 16th to celebrate the community and switch on the seasonal in-game decorations. There will also be Gilden Phoenix Weapon Set giveaways! So, if you’re playing while the steam is live, head over to the tavern on New Golden Sands Outpost to see the switchover or join the Twitch stream.
Gifts and Glory Sale
From December 23rd to January 3rd, several items within the store will be discounted, including many holiday-themed items. There are also seasonal emotes and several pets, including Collector’s pets, that can be purchased.
Twitch Drops
Between December 19th and January 2nd, watch participating Twitch streamers to unlock a matching collection of clothing and vanity items. These will be available in batches from December 19th-22nd, December 22nd-26th, December 26th-29th, and December 29th-January 2nd.
To claim the Twitch Drops, you’ll need to watch a participating Twitch steamer for a minimum of an hour to unlock each item. Please note that you need to connect your Twitch and Sea of Thieves accounts to be eligible.
Grogmanay
From December 30th to January 2nd at 10 am UTC, players can participate in Grogamanay. Grogamanay includes six grog-based Challenges.
To participate, players must drink a few pints and perform daring feats and activities before sobering up. You’ll also be rewarded with gold and Renown for any tasks you manage to complete.
If you complete three or more challenges and you can earn the Grogmanay Tankard or a new notch on your existing Tankard.
