The much-anticipated Season 03 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is scheduled to launch on April 12 across all platforms. Players can look forward to the return of Gunfight and Plunder, as well as new features such as the Barter System in DMZ, a legendary Sniper Rifle from a new manufacturer, the debut of Warzone Ranked Play, and an exclusive opportunity to rise through the ranks of the BlackCell in the Battle Pass AO.
The seasonal update will be available for download on April 10 at 10 AM PT, with Patch Notes to be released between the update download and the season’s launch. Season 03 promises a variety of new content, including four Gunfight maps, three 6v6 maps, and two Battle Map locales. Additionally, players can expect new Special Ops missions and a new Raid Episode later in the season.
Cranked mode, first seen in Call of Duty: Ghosts, returns with increased intensity as players race against the clock to score eliminations. Operators gain the effects of Fast Hands and Double Time Perks while Cranked, and eliminations earned during this time are worth double points.

Season 03 also brings new rewards for Ranked Play match wins, with exclusive items such as weapon blueprints, charms, and camos available to dedicated players. Higher Skill Division Operator Skins and cosmetics can be earned by achieving a season-high placement within the Gold Division or above, with special rewards for the Top 250 and No. 1 player worldwide at season’s end.
Season 03 launches with the Resurgence mode, allowing up to 150 players to compete in Al Mazrah. Plunder mode also returns, encouraging players to level up their Loadouts and compete for in-game cash. Additional in-season features include Redeploy Drones, Tempered Plate Carriers, Perk Packages, and UAV Towers in Battle Royale.
The DMZ expands with the introduction of the Barter System, a new contract and missions from the REDACTED faction, and a Contraband workbench. Players will also face two new bosses and a mysterious [[REDACTED]] location. Warzone Ranked Play is set to arrive mid-season, providing a competitive platform for Warzone players, with the World Series of Warzone™ scheduled for mid-April.
Finally, for PC players, Season 03 marks the integration of Discord within Call of Duty, beginning with Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0, thanks to Beenox’s efforts. This integration offers gamers a seamless platform to connect and communicate while enjoying the thrilling world of Call of Duty.
