Marvel’s Avengers has been out for over a year and a half and has received multiple event and hero updates that have added new ways to play the game. The game stopped receiving monthly updates last November. Now, according to a leak on the official Xbox Twitch channel, the next hero coming to Marvel’s Avengers has been announced.
During the stream, the host Techniq was playing the Avengers game with Brian Waggoner, the lead designer on the title. The clip starts with Techniq stating that he’s unsure if he can say something, but that he thinks it’s public knowledge. After riffing about acting for a second, Techniq states that his acting teacher will be voicing the role of She-Hulk when she comes to Marvel’s Avengers.
After saying that his acting coach was cast, the host seems to recognize that he said something wrong. “I won’t say her name because I don’t know if that was public knowledge yet.” Waggoner quickly chimes in with, “No, we never announced She-Hulk.”
In the clip following, in the same Twitter thread, Techniq attempts to walk back the information he just gave. “Hopefully, the source will be right, we’ll just have to see.” Waggoner then adds that they are busy at work on the next hero, even though they aren’t yet ready to say who that will be. Right now the developer is working on celebrating the work that was done adding Jane to the game.
Jane Foster as The Mighty Thor was the most recent character added to the game and she was torn from an alternate dimension to fight by the side of Earth’s mightiest heroes. Now it appears that the Hulk’s cousin will be finding her way into Marvel’s Avengers sometime in the future. Given that this likely wasn’t ready to be announced yet, it will probably be some time before fans see She-Hulk on their screens.
