Sloclap has created Sifu, a beat ’em up action-adventure game that is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Absolver, a well-known action role-playing game, was created by the same team. Sifu has a similar fluid fighting style, with a focus on kung fu, and a large number of distinct strikes that can be chained together. It was released to some positive review, and has just received a new patch.
Here’s a look at all of the changes from the official patch notes:
- Added Mandarin Chinese voice over
- Camera tweaks: all levels have been passed through to remove camera collision and visibility on select level environments that could block the vision during fighting.
- The infinite loop exploit of using the sweep attack on an enemy who was already down has been fixed.
- Fajar would cease attacking the player in the second phase, which was fixed.
- Against Kuroki, the Blade technique endless loop exploit was fixed.
- When a level is completed, the shrine awards are now always saved. (It was only saved if the level had previously been completed with a younger age.)
- For Playstation users, a High Contrast Display is now available.
- Resolved concerns with remapping by displaying additional input combinations on the controller layout. Keyboard users are the center of attention.
- When resizing, subtitles were cropped.
- Fixed issue for the Japanese PS4 version where remapping the interaction input could block the navigation in some menus.
- Fixed multiple bugs and crashes
- Performance optimization
- Fixed minor issues with level art & lighting
- Fixed Chinese calligraphy mistakes in the Sanctuary – still WIP thanks @materwelonz!
