The Sifu Arenas Update is now available, delivering a wealth of new content and a variety of improvements as a response to player feedback. The update introduces nine new closed maps, each with five unique challenges, totaling 45 fresh challenges for players to conquer. Alongside the new maps, players can enjoy eight new Arenas-related trophies, four of which have hidden requirements.
In addition to the Arenas, the update presents players with 28 new cheats, including 16 moveset-related cheats that allow players to customize their moves. Nine new modifiers have also been added, providing more ways to enhance gameplay. The “Double Damage” Modifier has been updated to “Damage Multiplier,” giving players the ability to set damage taken from enemy attacks with a multiplier ranging from 0.5x to 4x.
Players can now customize their in-game appearance with three new outfits, one of which is a Deluxe-exclusive. These outfits can be unlocked by meeting certain conditions in the newly added Arenas mode. Furthermore, the 1.20 patch adds Cantonese voiceover, providing another layer of immersion for players.
The update also addresses several design fixes and improvements, such as tweaks to Master Difficulty, enemy AI, and scoring. New tutorials have been added to the main menu and the Wuguan training room, allowing players to get a better understanding of the game’s mechanics. Visually, the update brings more enemy variety, new Golden Weapons, and a 3D Arenas menu, alongside various minor art fixes.
The user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) have also been enhanced in the Arenas, Replay Editor, and localization. Improvements include added hints, better tooltips, and more detailed information. Sound design has been refined as well, with new sound effects for certain situations and improved audio sync for takedowns during Time Dilation effects in the Replay Editor.
