There is speculation about the upcoming PlayStation Plus Essential games for March 2024. French gaming website Dealabs has hinted that Sifu may be the next game heading to the subscription service. While this has not been confirmed by Sony or PlayStation, Dealabs seems to be sure.
The report from Dealabs is not an official announcement from Sony Interactive Entertainment, but they are often right about this stuff. Sony usually announces the PS Plus Essential games for the next month on the last Wednesday of the current month. Therefore, the official confirmation of the March 2024 lineup, including whether a French-developed game is included, will be revealed tomorrow. If you’re curious, that would be February 28, 2024, on the PlayStation Blog.
Released in February 2022, Sifu received a lot of love for its mix of tough combat, inventive aging mechanics, and engaging storyline. Players step into the shoes of a young kung fu student on a quest for vengeance following the death of their family. The game highlights the importance of practice as players encounter challenging battles that demand strategic thought, skilled execution, and adaptability to conquer formidable odds.
It’s a difficult game, almost like a roguelike, but focused on martial arts. The player experiences death a lot of times, and the game only gets more difficult as you replay levels to try and get the correct endings. To be honest, I could never beat the second boss.
We won’t have to wait long for confirmation. The official announcement for the March 2024 games for PlayStation Plus subscribers is expected soon.
