Sony has had monumental success with its God of War series recently, mostly thanks to the Santa Monica studio that has managed to create such exciting titles. Now, rumors are circulating that the developer is looking to get away from God of War thanks to an employee’s job posting on the social media site LinkedIn.
According to screenshots grabbed by a user on ResetEra, one of Sony Santa Monica’s Senior Programmers has listed that they’re working on a non-announced IP. According to the screenshot from an unknown programmer, they are currently working on “a non-announced IP.” One could assume this new IP is coming from their current employer, Sony’s Santa Monica Studios.

As of writing, this is just speculation and there’s been no word from Sony Santa Monica about what the developer’s next title will be. With God of War: Ragnarok released last year, the developer will likely want to put some time between its last release before drawing the hype from a new IP. However, we won’t know for sure unless there is official confirmation from the developer or Sony.
Sony’s Santa Monica began working on the God of War series at the beginning almost 20 years ago.
