It’s been nearly six years since the release of the last South Park game, The Fractured But Whole, was released, bringing the superhero theme to an entire game. Now, THQ Nordic has officially announced the title of the next game, South Park: Snow Day! and it is expected to releaseon March 26th Release for PC & Console; check out how long you’ve got left to wait with our South Park Snow Day Countdown.
In this title, the show will be once again drawing on a theme of some of its more classic episodes, allowing players to have their own snow day where they can battle alongside friends in 3D. It’s a departure from previous games like Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole, but Cartman does reference the New Kid, so there may be a connection.
The trailer shows Cartman in his wizard persona using a variety of magical attacks in what looks like a real-time strategy game that will see players and their friends fighting against monsters. In the overhead view, players can see kids in different outfits fighting against monsters in lanes similar to other popular RTS games.
South Park: Snow Day! was announced during the THQ Nordic showcase and is expected to release sometime in 2024 to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC.
