Sony has announced the forthcoming release of a PlayStation 5 hardware bundle themed around the much-anticipated game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This limited edition bundle showcases a uniquely designed PS5 console and DualSense wireless controller, both depicting the iconic White Spider icon under threat from the encroaching symbiote, a key element in the game’s narrative.
The PlayStation 5 Console – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle will include a voucher for a digital copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, allowing purchasers to download the game upon its release. The limited edition PS5 console features a custom cover displaying the iconic White Spider symbol. In an extension of the game’s theme, the design portrays the symbiote’s menacing approach towards the emblem. The bundle also provides a DualSense wireless controller with a matching design, showcasing the symbiote influence stretching across its entirety.
For PlayStation 5 owners who already possess a console, the individual components of the bundle will be available for separate purchase. Owners of a PS5 console with a disc drive can acquire the PlayStation 5 Console Covers – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition, while PlayStation 5 Digital Edition owners have the option to purchase the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition Console Covers – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition. Furthermore, the DualSense wireless controller – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition will also be available as a standalone product.
The release date for the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle, the PS5 console covers, the PS5 Digital Edition covers, and the DualSense wireless controller has been set for September 1st. Pre-orders for these products are set to commence on July 28th.
The Spider-Man 2 themed accessories will also be available separately. If you already own a PS5, you can purchase a cover for it or grab yourself a Dualsense Wireless Controller.
Buyers of the full PS5 bundle can redeem the included game voucher when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20. As an additional incentive, purchasers of the bundle will also receive pre-order benefits similar to those who pre-order Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 separately. These include an early unlock Arachknight Suit for Peter with three additional color variants, an early unlock Shadow Spider Suit for Miles with three additional color variants, an early unlock for the Web Grabber gadget, and three skill points.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available exclusively for PlayStation 5 on October 20th.
