Nintendo has unveiled exciting details about the upcoming expansion pass for Splatoon 3. The Side Order DLC, set to be released on February 22, has a new trailer. It provides a glimpse of the gameplay and storyline, where we’ll learn more about the colorless world Splatoon has made.

We get even more details in the official Nintendo Blog post for the announcement. In Side Order, you will take on the role of Agent 8, a character awakening in a monochromatic world devoid of color. The narrative follows Agent 8’s journey to restore color to this desaturated reality with various challenges and adversaries along the way.

With the guidance of a drone claiming to be Off the Hook member Pearl, you must ascend the Spire of Order. Each floor will have enemies and obstacles as you progress. So, with each level of the Spire, you’ll get a new objective that will increase in difficulty as you advance.

You can customize their Palette using color chips acquired throughout the game to aid in this endeavor, offering enhancements such as augmented firing speed and increased damage output. Failed attempts to reach the summit resulted in the conversion of collected color chips into a valuable currency for acquiring permanent upgrades. This makes sure you get progression with each iteration.

Following the launch of Side Order, you can anticipate the commencement of a new Splatoon 3 Fresh Season on March 1. This season will introduce additional multiplayer stages, including the Marlin Airport battle stage and the Bonerattle Arena Salmon Run stage. It will also introduce new weapons variants, such as brella, dualies, and items like the Fizzbang.

You can prepare for the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass release by purchasing it now and accessing the Side Order DLC on its launch date.
