The world of gaming is set to welcome a unique crossover as Square Enix and developer FuturLab roll out the announcement of a new DLC, the “SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack”, for PowerWash Simulator. This DLC, priced at $7.99 / €7.99 / £6.49, has been slated for launch in the summer.

This latest collaboration sees the union of the original cartoon’s distinct style and nautical nostalgia in the form of the “SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack”. FuturLab, working in unison with Nickelodeon, has fashioned this DLC as a homage to the beloved animated series.

In a special gesture exclusive to this pack, the PowerWash character model will sport a marine makeover. It brings players closer to the world of Bikini Bottom, arming them with a uniquely designed power washer that would compete with the ingenuity of Sandy Cheeks’ inventions.

This DLC expands the PowerWash Simulator universe, adding a mini-campaign spread over six new maps featuring iconic SpongeBob SquarePants locales, such as Conch Street, The Bikini Bottom Bus, The Krusty Krab, The Patty Wagon, The Invisible Boatmobile, and The Mermalair. On top of these additions, players will have the chance to accomplish ten new aquatic achievements.

An air of mystery shrouds the usually tidy town of Bikini Bottom as unexplained mucky mishaps leave residents in a state of confusion. While players might not be able to decipher the puzzling situation, their role in restoring cleanliness ensures some captivating gameplay.

Speaking of this innovative DLC, FuturLab CEO James Marsden expressed his excitement, emphasizing their commitment to staying true to the essence of the original IP. This sentiment was echoed by Square Enix Collective director of indie publishing, Timea Edvi, who extended a warm welcome to SpongeBob SquarePants to the PowerWash Simulator world and expressed anticipation for players’ reactions to the new content.
