In Starfield, trading is essential to earn credits to buy new weapons or upgrades for your starship. As you explore the galaxy, you’ll encounter plenty of vendors you can sell items to. But what do you do when a vendor runs out of credits or the items you need? How do you reset their vendor credits?

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to reset vendors’ credits along with their stock in Starfield.

Starfield Vendor Credit Reset – How Do You Do It?

Vendors in Starfield play a pivotal role in your journey. They offer a range of items and credits, which can be essential for your exploration and upgrades. However, there’s a catch. Vendors don’t have an infinite supply of credits or items. After a while, you might find that a vendor’s stock or credits have been depleted. But don’t fret! There’s a way to reset both.

Steps to Reset a Vendor’s Credits and Stock in Starfield

Deplete the Vendor of Credits

First, engage in trade and sell everything you can to deplete the vendor’s credits in Starfeld. If you want to do this with plenty of vendors, but not everyone will buy everything you’re trying to sell. Trying to sell weapons to TerraBrew won’t work.

Wait for 24 Local Hours

The most important thing you need to know is that every vendor in Starfield resets their shop and credits after every 24 Local Hours. But remember, time in Starfield varies depending on the planet you’re on. Some planets might have days that last more than 40 hours! So, waiting can sometimes feel like a drag.

Find a Chair or a Couch

It’s recommended not to simply stand around, as I once did on Neon, and found it took a very long time. You can speed up the waiting process. Find a chair or a sofa near the vendor’s location. Sit on it, and you’ll get an option to wait. Press the B Button, slide the time bar to wait for 24 local hours, and then press the B Button again. This action will fast-forward time, taking about a minute in real-time to complete. Or maybe go have a 24 hour nap.

Return to the Vendor

After the wait, head back to the vendor. You’ll notice that their credits and stock have been replenished. This reset allows you to continue trading, selling your loot, or buying essential items. This is incredibly handy because you can sell directly from your ship, and the Frontier only has a cargo of 475, so you need that space for more Maelstroms!
