Anyone who has purchased a Steam Deck may find themselves anxiously awaiting delivery of their purchase. The exciting new console sold over 12 million copies in just 4 weeks after being announced and put on sale on the Steam store. Delivery of the consoles has been a bit slow, but those who purchased one and are still waiting won’t have to wait much longer.

The official Twitter account of the Steam Deck, @OnDeck, announced some exciting news about the console’s development today. They announced an increase to production, which means more physical models of the console will be ready to ship out to those who purchased them in the upcoming weeks.

@OnDeck announced that with the increased production, more than double the number of Steam Decks that will be available to people with reservations.

Reservation emails for more Steam Deck consoles will be sent on the 30th of this month, meaning if you are scheduled for Q3 you should be receiving one soon.

For those who don’t know, the Steam Deck is the newest gaming console developed by Steam. Directly challenging the Nintendo Switch, the Steam Deck is a portable gaming console that uses a custom-made AMD graphics card to deliver high-end gaming on the go. The real big selling point of the Steam Deck and what sets it apart from other consoles is the ability to access your Steam games library on the console, something no other console has access to.

With Steam being the main selling platform for PC games, the Steam Deck has access to nearly every game ever produced or will be produced, making the Steam Deck a great purchase for PC gamers who want to take gaming on the go.

The Steam Deck ranges from $399-$649 and can be purchased on the Steam store.
