A new production update from Steam has revealed that anyone who is currently reserved for a Steam Deck console will now receive their purchase by the end of this year.

Here’s the official Steam Deck tweet, which delighted fans everywhere with the announcement:

The accompanying promo is just a GIF of the Steam Deck with fireworks, but it’s definitely remarkable news. According to the official blog post with the update, some “supply chain shortfalls” have cleared up, and a consistent increase in production allowed Steam to meet demands sooner than expected.

Every fan who was previously reserved to get their console between October and December will now receive the big email between July and September. Meanwhile, everyone else who is already on the queue can now expect their Steam Deck sometime in October through December.

Customers will need to remember to complete their purchase within 72 hours of receiving an email about their console, so be careful that you don’t lose out with a simple mistake.

If you want to join the queue now, the Steam Deck currently runs between $399 and $649. The price is mainly determined by storage space, and accessories like premium anti-glare etched glass.

Overall, the Steam Deck’s features and exclusivity give it the potential to challenge Nintendo’s perpetual grip on the mobile scene.

And Valve has previously produced some of the most iconic games in the industry, such as Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Portal, and Dota. All Valve needs to do is finally count to three, and they could easily build flagship franchises.

Each Steam Deck includes a high-speed microSD card slot, supports Bluetooth 5.0, and a full host of controls that will make customization easier than ever.
