Steam’s Top Seller list is a deceptively useful tool for both players and game developers alike. By simply showing which games are doing the best in the market, we can see what games are worth playing and get a hint towards which developers are doing something right. Here’s Steam’s top seller list for the week of April 18 to 23 in 2022.
#1 – Steam Deck
The Steam Deck has been at the top of Steam’s Top Sellers for the second week in a row, showing the handheld console’s popularity. For those who don’t know, the Steam Deck is a new gaming console that brings your steam library to a portable device, without sacrificing much of the power of a PC.
The Steam Deck starts at $399.00, and can be purchased via the Steam store.
#2 – Elden Ring
Elden Ring remains at the top of the charts, which is no surprise to anyone who’s managed to get their hands on the game. The newest souls-like from FromSoft reached over 750,000 concurrent players just after release, and is currently one of the most beloved entries for fans of the series.

#3 – Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 climbing the top sales ladder so long after its release is a true testament to the work the developers have put into it during the game’s life. Originally receiving a disappointing and highly criticized release, Cyberpunk 2077 has received a ton of attention from the devs and now delivers on the promises it originally made.
#4 & #5: Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
Taking up the next two slots is Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga. The latest addition to the Lego Star Wars series has fans raving, offering brand new and improved gameplay in addition to the series’ beloved formula. Many fans are calling this entry the best in the series, and it’s easy to see why.
#6: Valve Index
Taking up the 6th slot in Steam’s top sellers is the Valve Index, Steam’s take on the ever-popular VR Headset. Retailing at $999.00 on the Steam Store, the Valve Index is a VR Headset that connects to your computer, making use of your system’s graphics capability to play VR games off your Steam library.
#7: No Man’s Sky
No Man’s Sky is another success story of a game reaching the top seller’s list after a rocky launch. No Man’s Sky has gone through so many changes since its original launch, it can hardly be called the same game, and has gone from being toted as the worst game in Steam’s catalog to one of the best success stories on the history of the platform, thanks to work from the developers and player feedback.
#8: DayZ
The ever-popular DayZ maintains a spot on the Top Seller’s list once again. It’s not hard to see why. Anyone looking for a zombie survival game has their niche covered with DayZ, which offers a brutal and realistic loot craft fight gameplay loop that sells incredibly well on Steam.
#9: Squad
Squad is a hyper-realistic squad-based military sim, where players rely on communication and great teamwork to survive an intense warzone. The game is touted for its realistic portrayal of modern combat and its intricate base building mechanics.
#10: Call of Duty Black Ops III
To nobody’s surprise, at least Call of Duty entry maintains in the top seller’s list. Not only is Black Ops III one of the most popular entries in the series, but it also comes with a special multiplayer starter pack on Steam, allowing players to access just the multiplayer modes for only $15. This is a great deal for those who don’t care for the often short CoD Single Player campaigns.
