Many have admitted to being attracted to the characters in Street Fighter 6, but one host took it to a different level when they let a mod that portrayed Chun-Li without clothes into the tournament. Now, following backlash from the fighting community and Twitch, itself, the tournament has now posted its response on Twitter.
This accident happened during a Corner2Corner fighting tournament between a match featuring Chun-Li and Kimberly. Unfortunately, one of the hosts had implemented a nude mode for one of the female characters ahead of the game being streamed live on Twitch. While initially attributed by some outlets to be one of the players, the organizer makes clear that it was the host’s PC and his responsibility.
In the thread following the first tweet above, Corner2Corner expresses regret following this mistake as a not-for-profit organizer who’s looking to just support the FGC. C2C states it’s only making the statement because one of the players was falsely attributed as being the person who had the leak installed and not the computer of the host.
C2C confirms that the mod has been removed from the host computer and states “nothing like this will ever happen again.” They also explicitly call out the GamesRadar website, which allegedly claimed that Packz was at fault for the mod. The website has since updated the article title and added an update clarifying the information put out by C2C.
