Capcom has recently revealed plans to host an open beta test for the highly anticipated Street Fighter 6 from May 19 at 12:00 a.m. PT / 3:00 a.m. PT until May 22 at 00:00 a.m. PT / 3:00 a.m. PT. The open beta test will be available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC platforms.
The open beta will include the same content as the second closed beta test held in December 2022. This means that players will have access to eight playable characters, including favorites such as Chun-Li, Ryu, and Guile, as well as newcomers Jamie and Kimberly. The open beta will also feature a variety of game modes, such as Ranked Match, Casual Match, Battle Hub Match, Open Tournament, Extreme Battle, Game Center, and Training Mode.

Avatar creation will be available during the beta, allowing players to customize their in-game Battle Hub appearance. However, saving or loading avatar recipes and remaking avatars will not be possible during the beta period.
The open beta test will also support cross-platform play and offer a choice between modern and classic control types. Commentary will be provided by play-by-play commentators Vicious, Tasty Steve, Aru, and Kosuke Hiraiwa, as well as color commentators James Chen and Demon Kakka. Other available features include the Capcom Fighters Network (CFN), online match fight request function, battle tutorials, battle settings, and photo mode.
During the beta test, players can participate in the following activities: Battle Hub Match, where they can engage in matches with other players, Extreme Battle, where rules and gimmicks change daily, and the Game Center, featuring single-player content that updates daily. Tournaments will also be held periodically, and players can complete various challenges to receive rewards in the form of Drive Tickets. Hub Goods Shop will allow players to use Fighter Coins and Drive Tickets to obtain gear for their avatars.
Street Fighter 6 is set for release on June 2 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. Don’t miss out on this exciting open beta test, providing a great opportunity to get a glimpse of the game before its official launch.
