Street Fighter 6 has just released a new gameplay trailer that introduces Rashid of the Turbulent Wind who is scheduled for release on July 24. Known from his earlier role as the main protagonist in Street Fighter V, Rashid is seen to return with his distinct move set that stands out in the fighting game community.

Rashid is noted for his unique fighting style, a blend of parkour and his power to command the winds, adding an intriguing dynamic to his in-game character. With agile, acrobatic kicks akin to those of Hokuto and the ability to create tornadoes reminiscent of Cody’s Criminal Upper, Rashid brings a flurry of action to each battle.

The unveiling of Rashid’s move set reveals a character with an array of powerful special attacks. His V-Trigger, named Ysaar, manifests a colossal tornado, serving as a barrier that introduces opportunities for mixups, somewhat like Urien’s Aegis Reflector traps. His Critical Art, dubbed Altair, encapsulates him in a massive tornado, landing multiple damaging hits on the adversary before concluding with two final kicks. Rashid is also noteworthy for being the first character in the series to possess two V-Skills.

Rashid will be unlocked for owners of the Year 1 Character Pass on July 24 – by proxy, this also means anyone with the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition.

The gameplay trailer provides an intriguing preview of what to expect from Rashid’s character in Street Fighter 6. Rashid, with his unique skills and dynamic style, is set to bring a whirlwind of action to each bout in the game.

Street Fighter 6 is now available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
