The System Shock (Remake) was released earlier this year for PC via Steam, to which it received praise for faithfully recreating the feeling of the original. However, it seems that Nightdive Studio might be planning for a release on consoles soon according to an official rating from the ESRB for current and last-gen consoles.

The rating is available on the ESRB website, with the game being rated for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles. The System Shock (Remake) is rated M for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, and Language. With this official rating from the go-to board in the United States, fans of the title can likely expect an official announcement from Nightdive Studios before long.

This remake of System Shock has been well received by users on Steam, where it was initially released, with over 92% of the 4,700 being positive. Fans of the original appreciate that this title was a faithful recreation of the original from the mid-1990s. Some even hope that Nightdive will eventually be able to move on to give the sequel a similar treatment.

Considering this title released around the same time as the Dead Space remake, System Shock (Remake) has done considerably well. Releasing on consoles without any similar title released around the same time can likely lead to even more success for Nightdive.

Those curious about it can currently try out the demo or play the full game on Steam.
