Tuxedo Labs managed to create something special for both creators and those who seek destruction in Teardown, with the title now coming to consoles on Nov. 15. Today, Sony has announced that the title will be coming to the PlayStation Plus catalog the day that it launches for players subscribed to the Extra or Premium tier.
The news comes from a post on the PlayStation blog from developer Tuxedo Labs’ CEO, Marcus Dawson, which was then shared alongside a trailer on Twitter. With only about a month and a half until release, the new trailer shows the details shown on the PlayStation 5 as well as what players can expect from the chaotic gameplay.
One of the best features on PC is looking at worlds and creations that other players have created. It’s unclear if this will be a feature in the title at launch or if it will be added further down the line. The blog post does state that the team will choose which mods to implement in the console version, but it will be a selection that the team approves.
Alongside the release of the PS5 version, there will also be announcements of new DLC, improvements, and other features in the next year. This includes a new camping-themed DLC that’s planned to be released when it comes out for the console.
While Tuxedo Labs may list the title as a heist game, it’s much more like a destruction sandbox that rewards creativity more than most AAA titles. The ability to plan and react to this chaos is what makes each new mission exciting, even if the challenge does progress.
