This year has been great for fighting games, whether it be new releases like Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1 or news regarding upcoming titles in the next few months like Tekken 8. Currently, at the Tokyo Game Show during the Tekken live talk, a new practice feature was announced that will let players save their performance after a loss and show them where to improve.

This information was captured by JoeCrush_ on X (formerly Twitter,) where he states that players can help them replay their moves in battle. One of the features will allow players to take control of the character during the sequence, allowing players to improve and test new combos in specific instances. This is just one part of the information revealed at the talk specifically dedicated to Tekken.

An example of how Tekken 8 may tell you to improve is if you use a combo that’s not very effective, the game will show you one that works better or deals more damage. From there, you can ignore the tip or take the opportunity to try it out and be better equipped for when a similar scenario arises.

There are also options to adjust the opponent character in practice mode that will look for openings to take advantage of and then teach you how to counter them. It’s a great feature that should help players improve and keep from losing repeatedly.
